Top Crypto Podcasts in 2023

If you’re a cryptocurrency investor that hasn’t been listening to podcasts, then you’re doing it wrong. Podcasts are a treasure trove of information that can not only provide lucrative next steps but can explain what you are investing in and why. These are the top crypto podcasts to follow.

The Pomp Podcast

Anthony Pompliano is a household name in the cryptocurrency community. Known for his adamantly pushing crypto on CNBC, CNN, and other major news outlets, The Pomp, to nobody’s surprise, also has an incredible podcast. The Pomp Podcast sees the entrepreneur interviewing and discussing financial issues, government policies, and the health of money with guests like CEO Mark Cuban, Author Robert Kiyosaki, and notorious Bitcoin personality PlanB. Don’t let the guests fool you about the cryptocurrency content. Each episode is a case study or discussion on how cryptocurrency can improve the industry and what the guest honestly thinks of the push towards true financial freedom. They talk about social issues such as empowering women through pay with Sprout CEO Cindy Eckert, helping the public understand trade with Erik Vorhees, and the implications of mining with Marathon Digital Holding’s CEO Fred Thiel.

Bankless

Bankless is a podcast for investors. Bankless interviews the leaders of the industry and takes it to the next level. Major moves or innovations are often discussed and revealed on the podcast itself. If you are the type of investor trying to get in on every deal or airdrop, Bankless might be a great place for you to get information for your next move. Their focus on the future and informing people on drops is probably their biggest factor. When Ethereum switched to Proof-of-Stake, they held a staking panelist with 3 of crypto’s most prominent players, Lido, Coinbase, and Rocket Pool. If you are the type of person that enjoys listening to the structure of DAOs, Mimetic Desire, and how the Bitcoin economy is affected by creators. The other good thing about this podcast is that there is content for people who do not enjoy technicality. If you want to hear narratives on the struggles of starting a startup company, or the opinions of the trailblazers in this industry, you will find what you want. Bankless is a great place to start and continue going if you are interested in cryptocurrency in any capacity.

Tales from the Crypt

Tales From the Crypt is like its namesake, a much more underground and reality show. Run by Marty Bent and Matt Odell, the hosts’ talented stream of consciousness becomes stories within itself. The two also host the Rabbit Hole Recap segment where they go over the week’s news and add information to the hottest topics within cryptocurrency. My favorite part of Tales From the Crypt is how pure the show is. They release the exact block and SAT conversion price alongside every episode in addition to that episode’s topics. They host incredible guests in their interviews such as Parker Lewis, Nick Hansen, and Pete Rizzo. This is definitely a podcast for people more experienced in the cryptocurrency world.

Nugget’s News

Nugget’s News is another OG in the cryptocurrency podcast and media space. Starting in 2017, Alex Saunders’ dedication and incredible ability to host has changed the way the crypto community space is looked at internationally. Saunders has speaking credentials at Gold & Alternate Investments Conference in Sydney, Channel 10, and ABC Radio. In addition, Nugget’s News ranks top 12 Best Saving Podcasts with Business Insider, Shapeshift’s Top 10 in Best Industry Podcasts, and Lifehacker’s Top 14 Best Money Podcasts in Australia. The guest list includes major movers of the industry such as Peter Schiff, Lyn Alden, and Robbie Barwick. The podcast covers cryptocurrency’s international news such as China banning cryptocurrency markets, bull runs, and the Bitcoin macro landscape. Every week he recaps major movements in his segment Bitcoin, Ethereum, DeFi, and Global Finance News.

On the Brink

On The Brink is a unique cryptocurrency podcast that discusses the news and perspectives of industry experts specifically within the Bitcoin world. Ran by Castle Island’s Matt Walsh and Nic Carter, the two are purists in blockchain ideology. They are focused on promoting permissionless economies and the aspects of the Bitcoin industry that will alter international markets. Their topics cover sustainability in mining, how DAO’s will affect markets, and the transparency issues in today’s cryptocurrency environment. The episodes mix the issues of cryptocurrency and Bitcoin into the narratives of their interviewer. The stories are deep dives into complex philosophy, practical solutions, and visions of the future. They also touch upon institutional investments and discuss movements made of people behind the scenes. Their Weekly Roundups are also very useful for investors who are trying to keep track of major market movements and institutional investments. Their Roundups are short and sweet lasting around 40 minutes per episode. It’s a great companion on workouts or runs. There is something for every Bitcoin investor in On the Brink.

Epicenter

Best Crypto Podcasts

Epicenter is most likely the longest surviving cryptocurrency podcast to date. Epicenter follows true to its name and interviews people in the middle of the cryptocurrency space. Big names like Charlie Shrem, Jimmy Song, and Adam Back grace the microphone with their stories and visions for the future. My favorite part about Epicenter is that they not only explore the ideas and philosophy or cryptocurrency, but also the worlds surrounding it. Concepts such as privacy, scalability of economies, and decentralized storage provide context for some of the podcasts’ future and past episodes. Another great aspect of Epicenter is the explanation behind the updates and forks for stablecoins. Learning and understanding forks have led to direct gains for some investors online. Listening to these episodes is financially wise and just flat-out entertaining. The podcast is beginner and veteran-friendly. If you are trying to learn the very basic concepts of gas or why NFTs are the sudden rage, Epicenter is a great place to start.
